About us
illustrArte is a Spanish brand of hand-illustrated gifts. Behind it are two people, a sketchbook and the belief that something you use every day can carry as much artwork as something you only look at.
Who we are
We are a two-person family business based in Madrid. Malena draws: every illustration on an illustrArte product comes from her hand, with no templates and no stock imagery. Joseph looks after the commercial side, the catalogue, and making sure orders arrive where they are meant to.
illustrArte is the trading name of Mozley Consulting SL. The company's full registration details are in the legal notice.
What we make
We turn flamenco and Spanish illustration into things people actually use: insulated bottles, tote bags, wash bags, beach towels, silk scarves, mugs, aprons, notebooks and pencil cases. We also put together matching gift packs, because a lot of our customers are buying for someone else.
Every design starts in pencil. Malena draws the flamencas — María, Pepa, Macarena, Manuela — and more recently the dancers in the ballet collection, each with her own character, dress and gesture. The drawing is then adapted to each format, since printing onto a cylindrical bottle is nothing like printing onto a notebook cover.
Our designs are registered with the Registro de la Propiedad Intelectual in Madrid. They are exclusive to illustrArte, and you will not find them on the next stall along.
Where to buy
You can buy directly from this site, with free shipping within Spain. Much of the catalogue is also available on Amazon, in Spain and in several other European countries, for anyone who prefers to buy there or wants faster delivery. Availability varies by design.

Why we write a blog
On Inspiración illustrArte we publish gift guides, ideas for travelling in Spain, and practical pieces about the dance world: what to take to a first flamenco class, how to pack a rehearsal bag, what to buy in Seville, Madrid, Barcelona or Málaga that will not end up in a drawer.
We write about what we know and about what our customers ask us. It isn't a catalogue in disguise — most of those articles can be read without buying anything.
